DIG holds meeting to review security plan for Larkana

LARKANA , Jul 15 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DGI) of Police Range Larkana, Nasir Aftab Patahan, conducted a video call meeting on Monday to review the security arrangements for Muharram.
The meeting was held in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies.
Patahan issued instructions for the security of Muharram ul Haram in the five districts of Larkana Range, including Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, and Kashmore at Kandakot districts. A total of 15,582 police officers and personnel will be deployed for Muharram security duties.
Police officers and personnel will be stationed along the routes of Imam Bargahs and mourning processions until the end of Muharram. Additionally, the Pakistan Army and Sindh Rangers will also be present to assist in maintaining security.
A special control room has been set up in Larkana Range offices and SSP offices of each district, equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor the situation.
Patahan emphasized the importance of religious tolerance and responsibility among all stakeholders during the holy month of Muharram. He urged scholars and citizens to cooperate to ensure a peaceful conclusion to Muharram.
