LAHORE, Jun 18 (APP):In order to ensure transparency and beneficiary facilitation, Director General (DG) Benzir Income Support Programme (BISP) Punjab Muhammad Nasir Khalily, on Wednesday conducted a surprise visit to various retail payment points in the Shalamar area of Lahore.
The visit aimed to monitor the ongoing disbursement process of quarter 4 payments under the Benazir Kafalat Programme.
During the visit, Nasir Khalily thoroughly inspected facilities arranged for beneficiaries, including seating, shaded waiting areas and access to clean and cold drinking water. He also engaged directly with women present at the payment point to gather firsthand feedback and assess the overall payment experience.
In a notable gesture of transparency and oversight, payments were disbursed in the presence of the Director General himself. He also directed the concerned bank staff to improve arrangements at all retail outlets across the region. He emphasized the importance of providing dignified and hassle-free services, particularly for elderly women and vulnerable segments.
This visit is part of BISP’s ongoing commitment to uphold service standards and ensure that the financial assistance reaches deserving families in a secure and dignified manner.
