Dewatering sets ordered to clear rainwater in Daulat Nagar
GUJRAT, Aug 19 (APP):Assistant Commissioner(AC) Gujrat,Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon and Additional Assistant Commissioner Gujrat Sohail Khan Mandokhail on Wednesday visited Daulat Nagar along with Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt and Chief Officer District Council to review drainage arrangements following recent heavy rains.
According to an official source,heavy rainfall caused the Chapar drain to overflow,resulting in water accumulation in adjoining streets.
The MD WASA and Chief Officer District Council were directed to immediately install dewatering sets to drain the accumulated water.
For a permanent solution,construction of a drain from the affected area to Bhandar Nullah has been proposed, with tenders scheduled to be opened on August 31.
The project,upon completion,would improve rainwater drainage and provide a permanent solution to the problem of water accumulation in the area.
