PESHAWAR, Nov 03 (APP):The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has completed a detailed report on an explosion that occurred at the CTD police station located on University Road, Peshawar, a couple of days ago.
According to the CTD report on Monday, the blast took place at 7:58 a.m. inside the malkhana (storage room) of the station.
The explosion caused severe damage to the building, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Bilal and injuries to three police personnel.
The injured officers have been identified as Constable Zaitullah, Mudassir and Muhammad Ayaz. The report confirmed that their condition is out of danger.
The report further stated that the malkhana contained items seized from suspects during 2025, including 2 kilograms of explosives, 23 hand grenades, 7 grenade levers, 60 rifles,10 kilograms of high explosives, 2 suicide jackets, 42 electric and 10 non-electric detonators, 1 RPG shell and 1 IED device.
Additionally, prima cords, safety fuses, batteries and electric wires were also stored in the room.
The CTD report highlighted that the explosion originated from materials stored in the evidence room, which caused extensive damage to the building and raised concerns about the safety protocols for handling and storing explosives at police facilities.
