DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 24 (APP):The district administration while clarifying public concerns regarding ongoing development work at the district’s four bazaar has said that the project was being carried out under official supervision to facilitate the masses.
According to the administration, the development work is being implemented in consultation with relevant government departments and presidents of the bazaar associations to ensure transparency and coordination.
As part of the project, an indiscriminate anti-encroachment operation is currently underway along with the construction of drainage channels.
Officials said that the work was being carried out in phases, with the removal of encroachments being completed in the first phase, followed by the construction of drains.
The beautification of Bazaars will commence immediately after these stages are completed.
Authorities further stated that due to the ongoing anti-encroachment drive and the construction of a new sewerage drain in the Commissioner’s Bazaar area, the market has already been widened by approximately six to eight feet, significantly improving pedestrian movement and traffic flow.
Heads of the concerned departments have assured that all development and beautification work at those Bazaar would be completed within a period of two to three months.
