Dera police seize NCP goods worth over Rs 3 m

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 24 (APP):The district police on Tuesday claimed to have seized non custom-paid (NCP) items worth around Rs 3 million during an ongoing crackdown against the smuggling of NCP goods in the limits of Mughalkot and Darazinda police stations.

Following the directions of District Police Officer Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani, the operations against the smuggling of NCP goods were continued across the district, said a spokesman for district police.

He said the teams of Mughalkot and Darazinda police stations led by SHOs Rehmat Ullah Khan and Din Muhammad Khan under the supervision of SDPO Darazinda Circle Sher Ullah Khan checked several vehicles. During the checking, the police recovered NCP items including 5600 litres of Iranian Diesel, 160 bundles of Cigarettes, 12 tyres, six cartons of shoes and one carton of mechanical spare parts.

The estimated worth of these recovered NCP items is said to be around Rs 3 million.

Later, all the recovered NCP goods were handed over to the customs authorities for further legal action.
