DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 05 (APP):The Dera police have arrested a woman and recovered more than seven kilograms of hashish during a successful operation conducted in the limits of the Cantt police station.
According to police spokesman, the raid was conducted on the directives of District Police Officer Dera Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada and supervised by SP City Ali Hamza Butt and DSP City Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan.
Acting on credible information, a team led by SHO Cantonment Arslan Khan Gandapur intercepted a woman near Niazi Adda, behind Mehsud Market, and recovered six packets of hashish weighing approximately 7,370 grams.
The accused was identified as Mehnaz Bibi, daughter of Nazar Gul Marwat, a resident of Darra Pezu, Lakki Marwat, presently living in Benazir Colony.
The police have registered a case against the arrested woman and initiated further investigation.
