DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 07 (APP):The Dera police have intensified their crackdown on criminal elements across the district, resulting in the arrest of five suspects including proclaimed offenders and the recovery of illegal weapons during separate operations.
According to police spokesman, the actions were carried out under the supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, as part of ongoing, indiscriminate efforts against criminal elements.
In the first operation, the Paharpur Police conducted successful raids and arrested three proclaimed offenders. The arrested suspects were identified as Yawar Abbas, Muzammil Shah and Kazim Hussain. In a separate action the same police also arrested Ehsanullah under the National Action Plan for violating relevant provisions and registered a case against him.
Meanwhile, the Kirri Khaisour Police arrested proclaimed offender Hashmat Raza, who was wanted in a murder and attempted murder case.
In another major development, the Hathala Police carried out raids to arrest proclaimed offenders involved in murder, attempted murder and other serious crimes. Acting on intelligence regarding the presence of a wanted suspect, police raided the house of Aslam son of Noor Khan. Although the suspect was not found, the police recovered a Kalashnikov rifle along with ammunition from the premises and registered a case accordingly.
