Deputy Commissioner Kohat reviews Muharram security monitoring arrangements

KOHAT, Jun 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz on Monday reviewed security and surveillance arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram during a visit to the Command Post 15 Control Room. He was accompanied by the District Police Officer (DPO), Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), and Assistant Commissioner Kohat.
During the inspection, the deputy commissioner examined the CCTV camera network, monitoring systems and the performance of control room staff. He stressed the importance of maintaining round-the-clock vigilance to ensure the effective monitoring of Muharram processions and majalis across the district.
Muhammad Nawaz directed officials to remain alert and proactive in identifying and responding to any potential security concerns. He emphasized that comprehensive surveillance and timely coordination among relevant departments were essential to preventing untoward incidents during the holy month.
The deputy commissioner also instructed all concerned departments to further strengthen inter-agency coordination and enhance operational preparedness. Reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to public safety, he said maintaining peace, law and order during Muharram remained the administration’s top priority.
