KOHAT, Oct 22 (APP):In a decisive move to enhance public convenience and uphold market standards, Deputy Commissioner Kohat Rahimullah Mehsood on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive visit to the main market and surrounding commercial areas. The visit focused on evaluating food items, prices, quality control, and cleanliness arrangements.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner issued immediate directives for the removal of illegal encroachments, aiming to restore a peaceful and accessible shopping environment for citizens. He emphasized that such encroachments not only disrupt pedestrian flow but also compromise the overall market discipline.
Addressing shopkeepers on-site, the Deputy Commissioner instructed them to prominently display official price lists and maintain uncompromising standards in product quality. He further directed relevant departments to sustain coordinated efforts for cleanliness, price regulation, and the provision of essential public facilities.
“The district administration is committed to providing maximum relief to the public,” he stated. “No negligence will be tolerated in ensuring a clean, fair, and consumer-friendly market atmosphere.”
