PESHAWAR, Oct 21 (APP):Dengue fever has spiraled out of control in Malakand district as the number of reported cases has risen to 110, raising serious public health concerns.
Residents in almost every neighborhood have been affected, prompting urgent action from health authorities.
In response to the growing number of patients, the district hospital has established an additional dengue ward to ensure timely treatment and prevent overcrowding. Local health officials have advised citizens to take precautionary measures such as eliminating standing water and using mosquito repellents to reduce the risk of infection.
Medical experts have noted that the rise in dengue cases during the autumn season has become a recurring pattern across the region.
They emphasized that timely preventive measures, along with coordinated efforts by municipal authorities, are crucial to controlling the spread of the virus.
