PESHAWAR, Nov 19 (APP):The dengue situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to worsen as health authorities confirm 43 new cases across the province, including Peshawar.
According to a report issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department on Wednesday, a total of 43 fresh dengue cases were reported during the last 24 hours. With the latest figures, the number of active dengue cases in the province has risen to 288.
The provincial health department further stated that the total number of dengue cases reported this year has reached 5,959 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the past 24 hours, 12 new patients were admitted to various hospitals for treatment.
Authorities have urged citizens to take precautionary measures, eliminate accumulated water and ensure proper sanitation to control the spread of the virus.
