RAWALPINDI, Jul 25 (APP):An important meeting on anti-dengue measures was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi during which the reps from the health department briefed on the ongoing anti-dengue
campaign.
It was decided in the meeting to launch a coordinated “Dengue Awareness Campaign” at the government level to educate the public about the dangers of the disease and preventive measures.
Addressing the meeting, DC Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi said that while the overall situation was under control, the responsibilities of relevant departments have increased. “All government resources are being utilized to eliminate dengue larvae”, he said.
He emphasized focusing on specific areas in Murree where temperatures are similar to Rawalpindi, ensuring these locations are safeguarded against dengue mosquitoes. The meeting was attended by officers from various district departments and health officials.
