ABBOTTABAD, Nov 01 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abbottabad, Sarmad Salim Akram, has imposed a complete ban under Section 144 on all illegal activities related to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across the district. The decision has been taken as a crucial step to ensure public safety and prevent possible accidents.
According to the notification, the DC has prohibited the illegal distribution of LPG, ordered action against unregistered cylinder manufacturing units, and directed the closure of unauthorized LPG kit conversion workshops. Furthermore, a strict ban has been enforced on filling LPG cylinders in transport vehicles.
Violators of the order will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The directive will remain effective for two months.
DC Sarmad Salim Akram reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy will be implemented against all illegal LPG-related businesses to protect the lives and property of citizens.
