RAWALPINDI, Jul 07 (APP):The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has intimated all unlicensed healthcare facilities including clinics and hospitals, in Punjab to follow the Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) by July 31, 2025.
The PHC has paused regular inspections till the deadline to facilitate unlicensed medical practitioners to become licenced ones. This means they won’t check the unlicenced places as usual, giving them time to meet the rules. The MSDS standards help ensure safe and good-quality healthcare. However, PHC may still inspect if there are complaints or if a facility hasn’t been checked before.
According to the notice issued by PHC, if healthcare facilities don’t follow the MSDS by the deadline, they could face penalties under the PHC’s rules. The PHC is offering support to help clinics and hospitals meet these standards.
The registration can be processed through the official website of PHC.
“The PHC wants all healthcare services providers to be safe and provide good care”, said a spokesman PHC.
