RAWALPINDI, Sep 27 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema along with members of Seerat Milad Committee here on Wednesday visited the routes of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) processions and reviewed the arrangements.
During the visit, security of the processions and other administrative matters were reviewed in detail.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Mujahid Abbas, Managing Director, Solid Waste Management Company Rana Sajid Safdar, Municipal Officer, Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi Rafaqat Gondal and other officers of the department concerned were also present.
The patch work of the routes and street lights should be completed immediately and encroachments should also be removed, he directed.
No compromise would be made on cleaning of the routes of the processions, he warned.
He ordered the district administration officers to ensure implementation of the SOPs, routes and time restrictions of the processions.
A ban has been imposed on the use of loudspeakers during Friday prayers from 1 am to 3 pm, he said adding, the members of the Milad Committees should ensure its implementation.
