DC visits Miyawaki Forest, Special Children’s Park

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 15 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farhan Farooq visited the Miyawaki Forest established within the premises of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Muhammad Tayyab and Assistant Director of PHA, Rana Muhammad Masroor.
During the visit, Dr. Farooq instructed the staff to ensure regular pruning and proper maintenance of the plants. He emphasized that with proper care, the trees planted using the Miyawaki technique would grow rapidly, significantly benefiting the local community by improving environmental conditions.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Special Children’s Park at University Chowk, where he reviewed the cleanliness arrangements and assessed the trimming and maintenance of trees and plants. He also inspected the main nursery of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) near the airport, where he closely examined the sapling preparation process. Dr. Farooq issued necessary directions to staff for further improvements in the nursery’s operations and maintenance.
