SARGODHA, Dec 30 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wasim stressed the need to facilitate people in their daily affairs and urged the administration to enhance public trust through improved performance and accountability.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review the status of public
service delivery in urban and rural areas of the district.
The meeting focused on assessing the performance of key departments and identifying
measures to improve civic facilities for the public.
Officials from WASA, Municipal Committees, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Health Department, Sargodha Waste Management Company (SWMC), and other relevant departments participated in the meeting.
The deputy commissioner directed that open or missing manhole covers in both urban and rural areas would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He instructed concerned departments to ensure the immediate installation of missing covers and to promptly inform the district administration in case of financial constraints.
He also ordered the immediate filling of open drains located along roads to prevent accidents and inconvenience to the public.
Regarding health services, the DC emphasized regular inspections of government hospitals and health centers, improvement of cleanliness standards, uninterrupted availability of medicines, and provision of better facilities to patients.
