SUKKUR, Nov 25 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad Khan on Tuesday chaired a crucial meeting to address growing traffic problems in Sukkur city. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner City Sara Faraz, Assistant Commissioner New Sukkur Muhammad Wasim, Director Anti-Encroachment Sukkur Bilawal Korai, traffic police, and other officials.
DC directed officials to take effective measures to ensure smooth traffic flow, improve road discipline, and reduce accidents. He instructed Assistant Commissioners to take strict action against encroachments and illegal parking, and to monitor the situation daily. The DC also directed shopkeepers and hotel owners to avoid parking vehicles outside their premises and to remove chairs and tables from roads. He warned of strict action against violators.
He instructed the Director Anti-Encroachment to launch operations to remove permanent and temporary encroachments from central areas, markets, and highways. He also directed traffic police to deploy additional personnel, enforce traffic laws, and launch an awareness campaign.
The meeting concluded with a surprise visit by deputy commissioner and officials to various city areas, where they took action against encroachments and warned shopkeepers.
