LAHORE, Nov 08 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza conducted a visit to Tehsil Raiwind on Friday to review municipal service delivery, sanitation arrangements and sewerage conditions in the area.
Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), and Assistant Commissioner Raiwind accompanied him during the inspection. Officials from WASA, LWMC and other departments were also present.
Assistant Commissioner Raiwind Zohaib Mumtaz briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the status of municipal services and ongoing operations. The DC inspected cleanliness, sewerage and other civic arrangements in Jia Baga and expressed concern over the poor sanitation conditions observed during the visit.
Syed Musa Raza questioned LWMC officials regarding the deficiencies and directed them to immediately improve cleanliness operations. He instructed LWMC to strengthen daily sanitation work and enhance the door-to-door waste collection mechanism.
The Deputy Commissioner said that providing the best municipal facilities to citizens was the top priority of the district administration. He added that negligence in cleanliness and sanitation arrangements would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Syed Musa Raza further directed administrative officers to remain in the field to resolve public grievances and emphasized that sustainable solutions to sewerage and water supply issues were being ensured. He called on all relevant departments to work in a coordinated manner to provide maximum relief to the public.
