LAHORE, Nov 17 (APP):Implementation of the Lahore Development Program (LDP) has entered a crucial stage as Phase 1 approaches completion and work on Phase 2 continues at a fast pace.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza chaired A review meeting here on Monday, during which all relevant departments briefed the administration on the status of ongoing development schemes.
Officials informed the chair that independent development projects of the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) under Phase 1 have been completed, while WASA submitted an updated report on drainage and water supply works carried out in the targeted areas.
The DC issued strict instructions to NESPAK to ensure uncompromising quality, transparency, and adherence to technical standards in all development projects. He reiterated that the Lahore Development Program is progressing rapidly due to the clear directives and vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who has emphasized timely completion and high-quality execution.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Syed Musa Raza said that once completed, the LDP would provide long-term and sustainable urban facilities to citizens across the provincial capital. “There will be no compromise on the quality of development works,” he said, adding that all departments must further strengthen mutual coordination to achieve efficient results. He emphasized that sustainable development aimed at public convenience remains the prime objective of the district administration.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating departments to expedite work under Phase 2 while ensuring transparency, improved coordination, and the highest development standards.
