DC reviews dengue surveillance

LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza conducted a surprise inspection of the anti-dengue campaign in Nagra Town, Tehsil City, and ordered immediate spraying and sticker marking in 10 houses where dengue larvae were found.
He was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, and Assistant Commissioner City. During the visit, field staff briefed him on surveillance operations and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The DC personally reviewed the teams’ performance, stressing that no negligence in anti-dengue measures would be tolerated. He directed officials to ensure 100 percent attendance and strict compliance with SOPs, as well as to promptly identify and address all dengue hotspots.
The DC emphasized that protecting citizens’ health is a top priority and that the anti-dengue campaign is a national duty. He further stated that making Lahore dengue-free in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is among the foremost priorities of the district administration.
