DC reviews cleanliness condition

LAHORE, Jul 15 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza paid an early morning visit to Tehsil Nishter as part of his ongoing inspections across the city to improve administrative performance and civic services.
Accompanied by Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) Chief Officer Shahid Abbas Kathia, Assistant Commissioner Nishter Muhammad Saleem Aasi, and senior officials from LWMC, WASA, and other departments, the DC reviewed sanitation and sewerage arrangements in various areas including Kumahan Gol Chakkar and Ferozepur Road.
During the visit, Assistant Commissioner Nishter briefed the DC on the prevailing administrative situation and ongoing efforts to address civic challenges.
DC Musa Raza issued strict directives to WASA and LWMC for immediate improvement in sanitation, drainage, and sewerage management. He emphasized that providing a clean environment to citizens is the administration’s top priority, and instructed that all cleaning activities must be completed before the start of daily routines. He also ordered the removal of illegal banners, posters, and encroachments across the city to enhance cleanliness and urban order.
The DC warned that no leniency will be shown to officers or staff displaying negligence, reiterating the administration’s zero-tolerance policy and commitment to ensuring efficient public service delivery for the people of Lahore.
Meanwhile, the DC conducted a detailed inspection of drainage and development works in Tehsil Nishter, focusing on Ferozepur Road Gajjumatta, ahead of the monsoon season. He directed WASA, MCL, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination, full functionality of drains, and restoration of service lanes.
