DC reviews arrangements for annual Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference:
SARGODHA, Sep 30 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday visited the Central Eidgah and reviewed arrangements for the annual Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference scheduled to be held on Thursday evening.
The DC directed departments concerned to ensure the provision of the best possible facilities to religious scholars, guests and participants and stressed that no negligence should be allowed in the arrangements.
The Managing Director WASA Abubakar Imran accompanied him during the visit.
He directed that the Central Eidgah and all routes leading to the venue be thoroughly cleaned before the conference and encroachments along the routes be removed to facilitate smooth movement of participants.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed officials to ensure proper lighting, parking arrangements and other necessary facilities at the Eidgah and its surroundings.
Later, the DC visited various areas of the city to inspect cleanliness, door-to-door waste collection and other municipal services.
He also interacted with citizens and sought feedback about the door-to-door waste collection system.
He directed the concerned staff to further improve door-to-door waste collection and ensure prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints.
During his visit to the Mini Stadium near Qurban Chowk, the Deputy Commissioner expressed displeasure over its inactive condition and directed Parks and Horticulture Agency(PHA) officials to take immediate measures for its restoration.
He set a three-day deadline for completion of necessary arrangements, including trimming of plants around the stadium, activation of lights, deployment of gardeners and other staff, and improvement of cleanliness.
