FAISALABAD, Dec 08 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir has directed the immediate completion of all development schemes under the Annual Development Program (ADP) within the specified timelines and ordered strict action in cases involving missing manhole covers.
Presiding over a review meeting on WASA’s ADP schemes on Monday, he emphasized that all development sites must adhere to full safety protocols. He warned that any negligence resulting in accidents, particularly those caused by uncovered manholes, would lead to stern departmental action against the responsible officers.
The DC instructed that no location in the city should have a missing manhole cover and directed WASA teams to ensure that any such gaps are promptly covered without delay.
He also issued instructions to consultants to rigorously monitor all ongoing schemes, ensuring quality, transparency, and compliance with approved specifications.
The DC reiterated that providing citizens with reliable drinking water and efficient sewerage services is the top priority of the district administration, and all relevant departments must work in unison to improve municipal services across Faisalabad.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Engineering Saqib Raza, DMD O&M Usman Latif, officers from Public Health Engineering, and other senior officials, who briefed the chair on the current progress of development schemes and the measures being taken for their timely completion.
