DC orders stern action against encroachments

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 24 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Dr. Farhan Farooq directed the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) force to take strict and indiscriminate action against encroachments and those involved in illegal construction, in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab.
He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting held to review the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign by PERA Force. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Tayyab, Assistant Commissioner (City) Khalil Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Qurat-ul-Ain, District Public Prosecutor Nadeem Iqbal Khakwani, SDO PERA Force (City) Asghar Ali, and other officers from various departments of the district administration and PERA Force. Assistant Commissioners from other tehsils also joined the meeting via video link.
During the briefing, In-charge PERA Force Asghar Ali provided detailed updates on the anti-encroachment operations being carried out in Bahawalpur city and inner markets. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of these operations and appreciated the efforts made so far. Dr. Farhan Farooq instructed PERA Force officials to continue the operations in line with the Government of Punjab’s directives and to further enhance the performance of the force. He emphasized that the campaign against encroachments, hoarding, and illegal land occupation must continue vigorously. The Deputy Commissioner also directed that the activities of PERA Force be closely and continuously monitored to ensure sustained progress.
