KHANEWAL, Nov 26 (APP): The Khanewal district administration has intensified its monitoring of government schools, reinforcing the slogan “One Student, One Sapling” as a key pillar of its education-environment initiative.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Salma Suleman visited the Government Elementary School Mian Channu, where she inspected classroom activities, reviewed teacher and student attendance, and assessed academic progress.
She emphasized that the “One Student, One Sapling” campaign must be implemented effectively in every school to encourage environmental responsibility among children from an early age.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner issued special instructions to the school administration regarding the Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab initiative, stressing improved teaching standards and learning outcomes.
She reiterated that providing high-quality educational facilities in government schools was part of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision for strengthening the province’s education system.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed that school buildings be further upgraded using available school funds and urged teachers to pay special attention to student counseling to support both academic and personal development.
