FAISALABAD, Jul 09 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir has directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to ensure making main line functional on Jhang Road.
He accompanied by Managing Director WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema paid a detailed visit to Jhang Road stretch from Chohla to Bhatta Stop and inspected the progress and functionality of newly-constructed modern main force line.
He assessed technical readiness of the sewerage infrastructure and said that prompt transition to full operation of the main force line of Jhang Road is imperative to provide maximum relief to the residents of this area especially during monsoon and rainy season. He said that once fully operational, the new force line would significantly improve the sewerage system for key localities such as Saifabad No. 1, Pathan Wala, Bhatta Stop and its adjacent localities. He termed the project a vital relief initiative for the residents and said that it would help in resolving long-standing drainage and sanitation issues of the area.
During visit, DC Nadeem Nasir also issued strict instructions to WASA officials to expedite the completion of all testing procedures and ensure main force line of Jhang Road is fully functional without delay.
No negligence or laxity would be tolerated in final execution stages of the project as it has direct impact on public welfare, he warned.
Managing Director WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema assured the Deputy Commissioner that the new sewerage line would be operated at its full capacity.
WASA is committed to deliver optimal results for benefit of the masses by addressing long-pending infrastructural deficiencies, he added.
