DC Murree reviews highway department arrangements during surprise visit
MURREE, Aug 11 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi here on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to different areas of Murree to inspect arrangements of the Highway Department.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner thoroughly inspected various roads and reviewed painting, cleanliness and beautification works along the roadsides. Officers of the Highway Department Murree accompanied him and briefed him on the relevant matters.
The deputy commissioner directed the officials to further improve road maintenance and travelling facilities for visitors and residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Sherazi said that Murree, being a major tourist destination, attracted visitors with its scenic beauty, adding that the district administration was taking measures to provide the best possible facilities to tourists.
He said development projects were underway in the Queen of Mountains, along with beautification works at various locations. Practical measures were also being ensured to provide tourists with a clean and pleasant environment.
The deputy commissioner said no compromise would be made on the timely completion of development projects.
