RAWALPINDI, Jul 17 (APP):The Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zahir Abbas Shirazi got injured during a landslide relief operation at Salgran.
According to details, a landslide occurred at Salgran, and the district administration was engaged in rescue and relief operation under the supervision of DC Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi.
The DC got a minor foot injury from a sudden falling rock. However he was treated on spot with the first aid.
“Keeping the people safe is our main goal”, he said and urged the local administration and allied departments to stay ready for any situation during such operations.
The road at Salgran remained closed till the clearance of the landslide debris.
DC urged people to use the Expressway instead, and to follow instructions from the administration and traffic police.
“Tourists should check the weather while planning their trip to Murree”, he said.
A command post and medical camp have been set up at Salgran to help locals and visitors with emergencies and share safety tips.
