HYDERABAD, Jan 09 (APP):An important meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Matiari under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousif Shaikh to review matters related to the social sector and to enhance coordination.
SSP Matiari Rao Arif Aslam along with officers of various concerned departments, attended the meeting.
According to a handout, the primary objective of the meeting was to constitute a committee comprising representatives of the district administration, town, municipal and local bodies, which would identify issues related to the social sector and take practical measures for their resolution through a joint strategy.
While addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed that social sector projects should be completed on a fast track basis to ensure transparency and quality in public welfare initiatives. He further stated that effective monitoring at the field level would enable the timely resolution of public issues.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner also chaired a meeting of the District Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC), during which it was decided to ensure NADRA registration of all madrassas along with their students and teachers, across the district. The meeting also reviewed various matters concerning the law and order situation in the district.
