QUETTA, Oct 24 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Kalat Captain Retired Jameel Baloch on Friday visited Hindu Mohalla on the occasion of Diwali festival and congratulated the Hindu community on celebration of Diwali.
Maharaj Ghansham Das, members of the Minority Committee of Gur Nanak Temple, Surjeet Kumar, Nanak Chand Mukesh Kumar, Dewan Nand Lal Sunil Kumar, Parshottam Lal, Dewan of Hindu Panchayat Kamlesh Kumar, Mukhi Dhanesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Naresh Kumar and others enthusiastically welcomed the administrative officer and other guests.
Maharaj Ghansham Das and other community members also dressed the Deputy Commissioner in their traditional chadors.
On this occasion, renowned singer of Nabi Bakhsh Anjum Brahui language, Ustad Nadeem Alam, District Health Officer Dr. Anjum Zia were also present.
Deputy Commissioner Jameel Baloch said that Diwali is a festival of lights, happiness and love, this day teaches us a lesson of brotherhood and mutual respect.
The minority community said the DC and administrative officers have set an example of tolerance by participating in our cultural and religious festivals.
Hindu Community members said that Jameel Baloch is a sincere and friendly officer.
He is working hard to resolve regional issues. The district administration has always had brotherly cooperation with the minority community.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the problems being faced by the Hindu community, including the restoration of police posts, installation of street lights, provision of clean drinking water and other important issues, would be resolved as soon as possible.
