HYDERABAD, Dec 16 (APP):An important meeting regarding public safety arrangements in the district was held under the chair of Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri.
During the meeting, he directed officers of the concerned departments to ensure the availability of safety equipment at factories, petrol pumps, banks and other institutions to effectively respond to any emergency situation.
He also directed that effective and appropriate measures be taken to prevent the discharge of polluted water from factories.
According to the district information department, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers of the livestock department to expedite vaccination campaigns across the district to protect animals from various diseases, and to ensure complete medical examination of animals before slaughter at slaughterhouses under all circumstances.
The DC also instructed municipal and town officers to further intensify the campaign against stray dogs, improve the sanitation system and ensure that manhole covers were properly installed. He made it clear that any negligence in these matters would not be tolerated.
The meeting was attended by ADC-I Babar Khan Nizamani, ADC-II Dr Adnan Munir Tunio, Deputy Director Livestock and Animal Husbandry Dr Zulfiqar Ali Siyal, assistant commissioners of the talukas and officers from municipal, town, local government, civil defence, environment, revenue and other relevant departments.
