LAHORE, Jan 16 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Syed Musa Raza made visits to various locations within Tehsil Ravi Zone on Thursday and examined the ongoing developmental works in Nain Sukh under the Lahore Development Plan.
The inspection was attended by several key officials, including Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore Shahid Abbas Kathia, Assistant Commissioner Ravi Zone Tariq Shabbir, Deputy CO Lahore Waste Management Company Muhammad Zulqarnain Khan, and others.
DC was briefed on the positive progress being made under the Lahore Development Plan. He emphasized the need for maintaining high standards of work quality and ensuring timely completion of all projects. DC stated that the success of the Lahore Development Plan hinges on our continuous efforts. He further underscored the importance of maintaining transparency in all development activities, asserting that no compromises should be made in this regard.
Additionally, Syed Musa Raza reviewed the cleanliness measures around Begum Kot and Saggian Bridge. The briefing highlighted that teams are actively deployed in the field to enhance the cleanliness mechanism. DC instructed that trash should not be burned and must be promptly removed. He stressed the need for removing heaps of garbage from streets and neighborhoods.
The DC also issued immediate directives for the removal of encroachments along roadsides and footpaths. He asserted that encroachments should not be tolerated under any circumstances. He added that the solution to traffic issues lies in the elimination of encroachments. He further instructed a zero-tolerance policy towards encroachments and called for the removal of banners, streamers, and posters. He affirmed the administration’s commitment to making Lahore a cleaner and more beautiful city.
