LODHRAN, Jun 21 (APP): In line with Punjab Chief Minister(CM), Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of accessible healthcare for all, Deputy Commissioner Lubna Nazir inaugurated the Phase-II of the Clinic on Wheels initiative by cutting ribbon at tehsil level hospital,here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion,Dr. Lubna Nazir highlighted that under the special directives of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Government has provided 11 Clinic on wheels units for Lodhran district.
These include five units for Tehsil Lodhran, two for Tehsil Dunyapur and three for Tehsil Kahror Pakka.
The project was a revolutionary step towards ensuring free and immediate healthcare services at the doorstep of underprivileged citizens, she stated.
The mobile clinics were fully equipped with doctors, LHVs and support staff,who operate in remote villages,offering services akin to a field hospital. Facilities include maternal and child health services,minor medical procedures, blood pressure monitoring,disease screening and more.
In a move to ensure patient comfort,air-conditioning facilities have also been provided in the mobile clinics, following the CM’s special instructions.
Dr.Lubna Nazir further emphasized that the use of these mobile clinics will be tracked to prevent unnecessary or misuse of the vehicles.
