BAHAWALPUR, Jun 23 (APP):Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz regarding an “Open Door Policy,”
Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza held daily public meetings at his office
to listen to the problems of citizens.
During the meetings, people from different areas of the district, particularly those arriving
from remote locations, presented their problems, complaints and applications before the
deputy commissioner.
Syed Hassan Raza reviewed the applications and complaints submitted by citizens and
issued necessary instructions to the departments concerned on the spot, directing them
to ensure prompt and effective resolution of public issues.
Various matters related to different departments were heard during the session, and
relevant institutions were instructed to complete necessary action within the given timeframe.
The deputy commissioner said timely and priority-based resolution of public complaints
was the foremost responsibility of the district administration. He added that all available
resources were being utilized to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that, in accordance
with the directions of Punjab government, the system of public service, transparency
and accountability was being further strengthened so that citizens could receive better
facilities and timely solutions through government offices.
The deputy commissioner directed all relevant officers that no negligence or delay in resolving
public issues would be tolerated and that all applications must be processed within the prescribed
time. He reaffirmed that the district administration would continue its public service mission and
take all possible measures for the welfare and facilitation of citizens.
