DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan ordered an immediate cleanup operation at the Indus riverside recreational area, directing the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) to clear garbage and restore cleanliness at the site.
The deputy commissioner issued these directives after multiple public complaints about piles of waste and unhygienic conditions at the popular picnic spot along the Indus River.
Acting on these concerns, the DC personally intervened and instructed WSSC officials to remove the garbage without any delay and ensure that all public parks and recreation areas in Dera remain clean.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan said that WSSC Dera teams are carrying out cleaning operations along Darya Band road and nearby areas. “Our staff is working continuously to remove waste and keep the city clean and pleasant,” he said.
He further appealed to citizens to cooperate with the administration in maintaining cleanliness and to dispose of garbage only in designated collection points to help keep Dera Ismail Khan clean and green.
