DC chairs meeting to review development projects

RAWALPINDI, May 09 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema held a meeting at the District Complex on Saturday to review the progress of ongoing development projects across the district.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters), deputy director development, chief officer of Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi, chief officer of District Council Rawalpindi and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of various development schemes under way in different parts of the district, with particular focus on their timely completion, quality of construction and the provision of improved civic facilities to the public.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema directed the concerned officers to ensure that all development projects were completed within the stipulated timeframe and that no compromise was made on quality standards.
He said providing better basic facilities to citizens remained the foremost priority in line with the vision of the Punjab government, and urged all departments to strengthen coordination and adopt an effective strategy to accelerate the pace of development work.
The meeting also discussed proposals relating to urban infrastructure, sanitation, drainage and other public welfare projects aimed at improving civic amenities across the district.
