HYDERABAD, Aug 07 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shaheed Benazirabad Nawab Sameer Leghari chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the celebrations to be held on the occasion of Independence Day .
Addressing the meeting held at the Darbar Hall of the office, ADC Nawab Samir Laghari said that the Independence Day will be celebrated with national enthusiasm and in this regard the flag should be unfurled at the DC office on the morning of August 14. In view of bad weather, the main ceremony of Independence Day will be held in Latif Hall of People’s Medical University.
It was decided in the meeting that in primary, high, higher secondary schools, colleges, special education special events will be held on August 14. Speeches, national songs and tableaus will be presented by the students of Bakhtawar Cadet College. Prizes will be given to the students who won positions in the speech competitions.
Sameer while giving instructions to the committee members said the programs of the main event to be held on the day should be finalized. He further said that the district administration is determined to plant 150,000 eco-friendly trees till August 14 to make the district environment-friendly and green.
He further said that the management of schools and colleges should complete the preparation of children’s speech contests and tableaus by August 12 and submit a report.
He instructed the police and traffic police officers to make special arrangements to ensure peace and traffic on the occasion of Independence Day. District Health Officer Dr. Asadullah Dahri, Director Special Education Ghulam Murtaza Chanar, Deputy Director Pakistan Baitul Mal Shehzad Jaskani, District Education Officer Muhammad Salim Bhatti, District Education Officer Primary Masood Ahmed Shato, Municipal Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Shaikh, Information Officer Ijaz Ali Tiuno, Principal Humira Mir, Shahnaz Lakhu, Lala Rukh Baloch, Shabana Naz Siddiqui, Asad Ali Memon, Javed Ahmad Malah, Mohammad Nadeem Rand and other committee members participated.
