DC chairs meeting regarding elimination of illegal encroachment

HYDERABAD, Nov 03 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Samad Nizamani, chaired a key meeting at Darbar Hall, regarding elimination of illegal encroachments in Nawabshah city.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Abrar Ali Shah, DSP and In-charge Traffic Police Abdul Hameed Jalbani, Assistant Commissioner Iqbal Ahmed Tunio, Municipal Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sheikh, officers of Traffic Police, Anti-Encroachment Police and other concerned departments.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the growing illegal encroachments in various areas, markets and main roads of the city including unauthorized stalls on roads, shop extensions and goods placed on footpaths, which have been causing inconvenience to public.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner said that strict action would be taken against encroachments to improve traffic flow, restore public convenience, and maintain city’s beauty. He made it clear that no individual will be allowed to occupy roads or footpaths illegally.
Deputy Commissioner instructed Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner and Police Officers to conduct a joint, impartial and transparent operation against encroachments and ensure that such violations do not reappear after the operation. He said that concerned officers will be required to submit daily reports on the progress.
DC further emphasized that public cooperation is essential for the success of this campaign. He appealed business community, civil society and citizens to support  administration in making Nawabshah a clean, beautiful, and well-organized city with smooth traffic flow.
Deputy Commissioner directed officials to begin marking (chalking) encroachment sites and issuing notices to violators from November 4 with a large-scale operation to commence after three days. He also instructed Traffic Police to take strict action against those parking vehicles on roads and obstructing traffic flow, warning that no leniency will be shown to violators.
