DC chairs meeting of District coordination Committee

HYDERABAD, Oct 31 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, presided over a meeting of District Coordination Committee on National Action Plan/Apex Committee at Darbar hall Friday and reviewed various district-level operations and actions carried out during October 2025.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner directed that in light of the decisions made under the National Action Plan/Apex Committee, actions against illegal fuel pumps, arrests of beggars and contractors, challans for traffic violations, vehicle confiscations and operations against non-custom paid vehicles should be further intensified.
DC instructed officers of  Health Department to accelerate operations against quack doctors and illegal medical centers in the district.
Deputy Commissioner also directed Special Branch and other law enforcement agencies to prepare and submit lists of unregistered laboratories and quacks operating clinics from their homes.
He urged Customs officers to speed up actions against illegal petrol pumps, units and oil depots in the district and to ensure strict checking of vehicles traveling on the Mehran and National Highways to prevent smuggling.
DC instructed Assistant Director Social Welfare to provide a complete list of all NGOs and social organizations operating in the district. He also directed traffic police officers to ensure smooth traffic flow on Mehran Highway and within Nawabshah city. He also emphasized that officers of Local Government Department must ensure improved sanitation in all towns and union councils and strictly carry out anti-mosquito spray campaigns.
Expressing displeasure over the absence of officers from  Agriculture, Municipal Corporation, Food Authority and Forest Departments, Deputy Commissioner said that letters will be sent to the concerned departmental secretaries to initiate action against the absent officers.
Officers from Customs, Excise, Special Branch, Police, Health, HESCO, and other departments briefed the meeting about  operations and actions carried out during the month of October.
The meeting was also attended by Pakistan Army officials Colonel Yasir and Major Amanullah, District Health Officer Dr. Mudassir Hussain Domki, Medical Superintendent PMCH Dr. Yar Ali Jamali, DSP Police Shehzad Soomro, Rescue In-charge Abdul Manan, as well as representatives from Anti-Corruption, Labor, Public Health, Transport, Motorway Police, Price Control Committee, Education, Social Welfare, law enforcement agencies, Assistant Commissioners, and other concerned departments.
