KOHAT, Jan 17 (APP):An important meeting here on Friday was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Akram Chitrali regarding security measures of Tanda Dam assurance of public facilities there.
The meeting was attended by District Administration, Irrigation Department Kohat Engineer Naveedullah Khattak.
Representatives of Kohat Police, Rescue 1122 and other concerned agencies also attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to further improve the security arrangements in Tanda Dam, ensure public convenience and formulate a comprehensive strategy to deal with potential threats in a timely manner.
The deputy commissioner directed all the concerned agencies to ensure high standards of safety and security for the dam and take immediate steps to provide a safe and comfortable environment to the public.
He also urged the concerned authorities to ensure the readiness and availability of rescue services and launch a campaign to create awareness among the public.
All the institutions assured that top priority would be given to the safety of the dam, convenience of the public and implementation of necessary measures.
