LARKANA, Jan 27 (APP):An important meeting on administrative affairs was held in the Darbar Hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office chaired by Deputy Commissioner Qambar Shahdadkot, Imdad Ali Abro. The meeting, held in the backdrop of the fire incident at Gul Plaza Karachi, was attended by officials from relevant departments including Health, Local Government, Municipal Committee, Town Committee, all Assistant Commissioners of sub-divisions, Mukhtiarkars (Revenue Officers), Rescue 1122, SRSO, PPHI, and others on Tuesday.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner of District Qambar Shahdadkot directed all participants and the relevant staff of government departments under the district administration to conduct a detailed review of various administrative matters. These include the elimination of illegal encroachments in the district, improvement of emergency services, preparedness for fire incidents, safety measures for gas and LPG cylinders, ambulance services, and issues related to sewerage and drainage, among others.
He instructed the Municipal and Town Officers to immediately remove all illegal encroachments wherever they exist in the district and to launch a 15-day anti-encroachment drive across the entire district. The Deputy Director of Local Government was directed to cancel all leaves of employees for 15 days to ensure the success of the anti-encroachment drive, and to take strict action against those found negligent.
He further stated that fire extinguisher cylinders should be installed in the main markets of all major cities in the district to promptly counter any untoward incident. He directed all Assistant Commissioners of sub-divisions to take action against all illegal open petrol stalls operating in the district.
Present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner-I, Zuhaib Zamir Odhano, Dr. Gulzar Ali Tunio, DHO Qambar, and staff from all relevant departments.
