RAWALPINDI, Feb 19 (APP):Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam on Thursday took a round of Ramazan and Sahulat Bazaars in the city to inspect traffic arrangements and issued directives to ensure smooth flow of traffic and security.
During the visit, he instructed the staff on duty to remain vigilant and perform their traffic and security responsibilities efficiently. He directed the circle in-charges to supervise parking and other traffic arrangements at the venues of Ramazan and Sahulat Bazaars.
The CTO also asked sector in-charges to check duties periodically and provide comprehensive briefings to personnel. He emphasised that no-parking violations around Ramazan and Sahulat Bazaars would not be allowed and that encroachments around commercial centres and markets must be removed.
Farhan Aslam further directed officials to keep a close watch on suspicious vehicles and motorcycles in view of security concerns and to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow on roads, particularly during Iftar hours.
He urged officers and personnel to provide maximum facilitation to road users through hard work and teamwork, adding that ensuring citizens’ convenience and safety during duty was part of their public responsibility.
