ISLAMABAD, Jan 06 (APP):Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Hamzah Humayun on Tuesday reviewed traffic management arrangements during morning rush hours amid fog at various locations of the federal capital, including the Islamabad Expressway and Faizabad Checkpoint, to ensure smooth flow of traffic and commuter safety.
An ITP official told APP that the CTO visited multiple checkpoints and key arteries where traffic pressure was high due to rush hours and reduced visibility caused by fog. He personally monitored traffic flow, reviewed on-ground arrangements and issued instructions to officers to remain vigilant and proactive.

The official said traffic wardens and officers of Islamabad Traffic Police were deployed at sensitive points to guide motorists, regulate traffic and assist commuters, particularly during early hours when fog had affected visibility in some areas.
During the visit, the CTO Hamzah directed officers to ensure lane discipline, prevent congestion and promptly respond to any traffic-related issues. He also instructed that citizens be guided politely and advised to drive cautiously, maintain safe distances and keep vehicle speeds under control during foggy conditions.
CTO Hamzah also reviewed traffic arrangements at other major checkpoints and intersections across the city, emphasizing coordinated efforts to manage rush-hour pressure and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.
Islamabad Traffic Police urged motorists and motorcyclists to strictly follow traffic rules, remain patient during peak hours and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed on roads.
