LAHORE, Jan 21 (APP):Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Secretary Sheryar Taj met with Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Zahid Zaman in Lahore to discuss collaborative efforts and preparations for the upcoming Food & Agri-Manufacturing Event, scheduled for February 2025.
During the meeting, the TDAP Secretary emphasized the event’s potential to enhance Pakistan’s agro-sector exports, with a focus on the critical role of Punjab, the country’s agricultural hub. He called for collaboration between the TDAP, the Punjab Agriculture Department, and private sector stakeholders to boost productivity and expand global outreach.
Sheryar Taj also briefed Zahid Zaman on the Horticulture Export Development Plan (2025-2028), developed by TDAP’s Horticulture Board. He stressed the need for input from the Punjab government to ensure the plan addresses regional needs and enhances the province’s role in advancing horticultural exports.
Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman expressed full support from the Punjab government and the Agriculture Department, affirming that the collaboration would create significant opportunities for farmers, manufacturers, and exporters in Punjab and nationwide.
The Food & Agri-Manufacturing Event aims to connect stakeholders and unlock the potential of Pakistan’s agro-based economy.
