KARACHI, Dec 23 (APP): Chief Secretary (CS) Sindh Asif Hyder Shah paid a surprise visit to the public reception established for visitors at the Sindh Secretariat, where he met citizens directly and personally heard their problems and complaints.
Taking the grievances of visitors seriously, the Chief Secretary issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned secretaries to ensure prompt and effective resolution of public issues and to eliminate unnecessary delays and procedural hurdles.
According to the spokesperson, the Chief Secretary directed that the problems of visitors be addressed on a priority basis and that all stages from registration of complaints to their resolution be properly monitored so that citizens are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.
He also instructed the reception staff to provide effective guidance to citizens and ensure their timely facilitation to the relevant departments.
The Chief Secretary Sindh also reviewed the overall public facilities at the Sindh Secretariat and emphasized further strengthening public-friendly measures. He stated that transparency, accountability, and improved service delivery are core components of the provincial government’s policy, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to remain proactive at all levels to resolve public issues and to continue practical measures for alleviating citizens’ difficulties.
