QUETTA, Nov 26 (APP):Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, chaired a meeting of the Strategic Projects Oversight Committee to review progress on key development initiatives across the province.
The meeting provided a detailed assessment of ongoing projects, focusing on their implementation status, challenges, and expected outcomes.
Addressing the participants, the Chief Secretary stressed the significant importance of strategic projects, noting that they play a vital role in fostering development, economic stability, and public welfare.
He added that ensuring timely and transparent completion of these projects is essential for achieving intended results and delivering citizens their due benefits.
Shakeel Qadir Khan added that transparency, high-quality standards, and timely execution not only strengthen public trust but also help the government meet its development goals effectively. The Chief Secretary highlighted that the provincial government is actively working to further improve the provision of basic services to the people.
He said that strategic projects contribute to advancements in health, education, and economic opportunities and lay the foundation for long-term prosperity. “Such initiatives help reduce poverty, enhance social services, and promote overall public welfare.”
Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan instructed all departments to ensure completion of development projects within the specified timelines. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Development Zahid Saleem, Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, and other relevant secretaries.
