LAHORE, Nov 13 (APP):During a series of non-stop inspections led by Deputy Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger) Nasir Nazir, Pakistan Railways recovered Rs. 860,740 from 345 ticketless passengers traveling on various routes across the country.
According to PR sources on Thursday, the Headquarters Ticketless Checking Squad, under the supervision of Nasir Nazir, conducted surprise raids on multiple trains and took effective action against passengers traveling without valid tickets. The operations covered several sections, including Lahore–Sahiwal, Sahiwal–Khanewal, Lahore–Faisalabad, Faisalabad–Shorkot, and Khanewal–Rohri, among others.
The crackdown was carried out on major trains such as Allama Iqbal Express, Tezgam, Khyber Mail, Awam Express, Pakistan Express, Shalimar Express, Millat Express, and Rehman Baba Express.
Deputy Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger) Nasir Nazir stated that the drive against ticketless passengers will continue to protect railway revenue and discourage fare evasion. He emphasized that these operations are being conducted in accordance with the directives of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, CEO Pakistan Railways Amir Ali Baloch, and Chief Commercial Manager Tariq Anwar Sipra.
