Crackdown launched on transporters for violating traffic rules

TANK, Dec 23 (APP):The traffic police in collaboration with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) carried out a joint operation against transport violations to ensure a safe journey on roads.
According to a police spokesman, the operation was conducted on Tank–Dera routes under the supervision of Incharge Traffic Asmatullah Khan Kundi.
During the crackdown, action was taken against buses and coaches involved in the use of illegal LPG cylinders, overcharging passengers beyond approved fares, and carrying excess passengers.
Several vehicles were fined and proceeded against under relevant traffic and transport laws for violating safety rules and regulations.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO Tank Shabbir Hussain said that the action was aimed at ensuring public safety and convenience.
He urged transporters and drivers to comply with traffic laws, avoid illegal practices, and ensure safe driving to protect the lives and property of passengers.
Police officials said that such operations would continue to curb violations and improve road safety across the district.
